Trust at Tab
Terms of Use
Effective August 21, 2026
Tab can research, create, browse, call, connect to services, and help complete transactions at your direction. You remain in control. Give accurate instructions, review important terms before approval, and do not use Tab to harm people or break the law. Beta features may change or be unavailable.
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to the Tab website, waitlist, messaging experience, private beta, and related features. By joining, accessing, or using Tab, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Tab.
Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to form a binding contract. You must provide a mobile number you are authorized to use and accurate information about yourself. You are responsible for activity authorized through your verified number and for promptly telling us if you believe your account or device has been compromised.
Access is personal and may not be sold, transferred, shared, or used to impersonate another person. We may require additional verification before allowing sensitive actions.
Using Tab
Tab is an AI-powered service that can help you research, create files and media, browse websites, use connected accounts, place calls, and, where enabled, prepare or complete purchases and payments. Tab may ask follow-up questions, provide status updates, and use specialized systems or service providers to complete your request.
AI and third-party services can make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and important details before relying on them, especially for financial, legal, medical, employment, housing, travel, or other high-impact decisions. Tab is not a substitute for a qualified professional.
Passwords and connected accounts
If you ask Tab to create, remember, or use a website credential, you authorize Tab to store and use it only for your account and the matching website. Saved passwords are encrypted and separated from the AI planning your work. You remain responsible for the third-party account and its terms.
When you connect Gmail, Calendar, Slack, GitHub, Linear, Notion, or another service, you authorize Tab and its connection provider to use the access you approve for your requests. The provider will show the requested account or workspace access. You can revoke access through the provider or ask Tab to disconnect it.
Purchases, payments, and approvals
Payment and wallet features are limited beta features and may not be available to every user. When they are available, Tab will bind a checkout to the merchant, items or cart, recipient, currency, total, payment destination, and a short deadline before submitting payment. You authorize only the transaction you approve. If those terms change or the outcome becomes uncertain, Tab is designed to stop instead of silently retrying a charge.
You authorize Tab to provide the merchant and payment services with the information reasonably needed to complete an approved transaction. You are responsible for the purchase price, taxes, shipping, merchant terms, subscriptions, returns, disputes, and any charges you approved. Tab is not the seller, merchant of record, carrier, or manufacturer unless we clearly say otherwise.
Card details must be added through Tab’s private wallet flow, never sent in Messages. Tab may require you to complete bank, card issuer, 3-D Secure, one-time-code, passkey, CAPTCHA, or other verification directly. We do not guarantee that a merchant will accept, fulfill, refund, or reverse a transaction.
Calls and communications
If you ask Tab to message or call someone, you represent that the communication is lawful and that you have any permission required to contact them or share their information. Tab may identify itself and the purpose of the communication. You may not use Tab for harassment, deception, unlawful recording, spam, emergency services, or communications that require a licensed professional unless the feature expressly supports them.
For Tab’s own automated messages, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to automated marketing texts is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Acceptable use
Do not use Tab to:
- Break the law, violate another person’s rights, or evade sanctions, court orders, or regulatory requirements.
- Commit fraud, impersonate someone, steal credentials, deceive a merchant, or make an unauthorized purchase.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, stalk, discriminate against, or endanger a person.
- Create, obtain, or distribute illegal sexual content or content that exploits a minor.
- Develop malware, disrupt systems, bypass security, probe accounts or networks without authorization, or extract secrets.
- Submit another person’s phone number without permission, manipulate referrals, or interfere with the waitlist.
- Use outputs as the sole basis for a high-impact decision about another person.
We may investigate suspected misuse and may limit, suspend, or terminate access to protect users, Tab, service providers, or the public.
Your content and Tab’s service
You keep ownership of content you provide. You give Tab a limited license to host, process, reproduce, transform, and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service, comply with law, and enforce these terms. You represent that you have the rights needed to provide it.
Subject to these terms and applicable law, you may use the outputs Tab creates for you. Outputs may not be unique, and other users may receive similar results. Tab and its licensors retain rights in the service, software, design, trademarks, and other materials that are not your content.
Third-party services
Tab may interact with websites, merchants, communications providers, connected apps, payment services, and other third parties. Their terms, privacy practices, availability, and decisions are outside Tab’s control. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, delays, outages, account actions, or failures, but we will try to report the result accurately and avoid repeating an action when the outcome is uncertain.
Private beta and changes
Tab is in private beta. Features may be incomplete, unavailable, changed, paused, limited to certain users, or discontinued. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access, timing, pricing, or availability. We may invite people in stages and apply usage, spending, merchant, or capability limits.
We may update these terms as Tab evolves. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide notice as required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tab is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that the service will always be available, accurate, complete, secure, or error-free, or that every request, call, website action, connection, purchase, or delivery will succeed. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tab will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from your use of the service. Tab’s total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Tab for the service during the 12 months before the claim or $100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Tab at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address risk, protect users, comply with law, respond to misuse, or operate the beta. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, and enforcement terms.
